Q – What will my template design look like?
A – It will look similar (but not exactly the same) as this one! We decided the website we would use to promote our Pay Monthly option would be better represented if we used the same template design and same content management system. So this website is an example of what you could expect, but of corse with your logo, colour scheme and page content.
Q – How often can I edit the page content?
A – Once a month at your request, however for urgent requirements we can make ad-hoc exceptions. The website uses the powerful Joomla Content Management System.
Q – What hapens if I stop paying the monthly fee?
A – The day after payment becomes due your account will be suspended which means the website will go offline and your email will stop working. After I further 7 days if we have still received no payment we will terminate the account and remove all of your page content and logo from the website. Read our Terms and Conditions for more information.
Q – Who owns the website?
A – We do. This is a website rental option for which you pay a set-up fee and then an ongoing monthly fee with no minimum contract. We don’t do HP or credit terms as we are not selling this website to you, only renting it. However this option allows people who want a 100% fully optimised, professional website and fully maintained, without paying the full cost up front and any other costs afterwards. You would have to pay for hosting, maintenance, repairs and any fees for amendments and a new design in a year or two anyway, so cost-wise this is overall just as efficient as buying outright. Q – Can I change th design?
A – No. This is a pre-designed template so changes to core deisgn is not permitted. However if you pay for 12 continuous months you will get a template re-design in month 13. Alternatively for £350 up front payment at any time, we can design you a fully custom theme however, bear in mind this option does not entitle you to a template re-design after 12 months – you must pay for a new custom design.
Q – Can I have more than one website?
A – Absolutely! If you have a group of websites (3 or more) if ordered together we would create a unique custom design template for all of the sites at no extra cost and they can still have their own separate loogo, colour scheme and page content.
Q – Can I access the hosting control panel or access the server space via FTP?
A – No. Because we are renting the website to you and because we are including maintenance and editing in our monthly fee, we cannot allow anyone access to the website files or database at any time under any circumstances.
Q – What if I don’t have a logo?
A – That’s not a problem. We offer logo design via this website so we can sort all of your logo and stationery requirements for you and you will own the copyright to the logo.
Q – Will my website be in the search engines?
A – Whilst we are only responsible for renting you a website and nothing more, by the very nature of optimising the website with your keywords and designing the website to a standard more than acceptable to the search engines, there is absolutely no reason why your website should not appear in the major search engines for your chosen keywords. Off-site SEO is your responsibility (link building, etc) and we offer this service starting at just £59 for our PAYG customers. If you need us to change any meta tags or page content for SEO purposes, let us know and we do that for you as it's all part of your monthly fee.
Q – Can I buy the website from you?
A – Yes, we now have a buy-out option available - please ask for details. The buy-out option is available for just £200 and this includes 12 months hosting. You take full ownership and responsibility for your website if you buy it from us.
Q – Who owns my domain name?
A – You do. We encourage all of our clients to register their chosen domain name (if they don’t already have it registered) in their own name and purchased in their own account. If you need help with this we can guide you step-by-step on the purchasing process if you use www.123-Reg.co.uk for .uk domains and Godaddy for .com domains – this is who we use and we are familair with their account interface to be able to guide you however you are free to use any domain registrar of your choice. Once you have registered your domain name we can manage the domain for you with your permission, though you will always retain full ownership. It is your responsibility to maintain domain renewal when due to ensure your website stays live on the internet. We can register and renew on your behalf where you want us to do this, though the domain will remain in our account, is transferrable at any time to you, and costs will apply. Please ask for details.
Q – How many email addresses do I get?
A – Usually we provide 5 email accounts and we set these up for you in your chosen names e.g. info@, sales@ yourname@ and so on. However if you need more please let us know and we should in most instances be able to provide you with more at no extra cost.
